Where It Matters

The Documents
You Can’t Afford
to Lose Control Of.

Privilege

Draft Agreements & NDAs

Share negotiating drafts with counterparties without handing them a permanent copy. Set a reading window. When time is up, the document is gone — regardless of what they did with the link.

A-C Privilege

Privileged Advice

Deliver attorney-client communications with the confidence that your advice cannot be forwarded, screenshotted, or retained beyond your instruction. Privilege, enforced by architecture.

Investigations

Investigations & Witness Statements

Share investigation reports, witness accounts, and internal findings with reviewing parties under strict time and copy controls. Know exactly who read it and when. Know if it leaked.

M&A

M&A Due Diligence

Replace unwieldy data rooms for sensitive preliminary disclosures. Share term sheets, board materials, and commercially sensitive financials with a controlled, self-destructing delivery — no VDR contract required.

Security

Security Briefings & Threat Assessments

Distribute internal security reports, threat intelligence, and incident assessments to authorised readers only. No printed copies circulating. No email threads retaining the content. One read. Closed.

Governance

Board & Executive Communications

Send board papers, strategic plans, and sensitive employment matters with the knowledge that recipients cannot redistribute the content. Every delivery is traceable, every session is timed.

How It Works

Your Document.
Your Terms.

Step I

Upload Your Document

Paste your brief, upload your NDA, or drop in any confidential PDF. Name the recipient. Set a reading window — 30 minutes, an hour, however long the matter demands. Done in seconds.

Step II

Send the Controlled Link

Deliver it by email, secure message, or however your practice operates. The recipient opens it in any browser — no app, no login, no friction on their end. The clock starts when they do.

Step III

One Read. One Chance.

They read in a protected session with a visible countdown. Tab away, attempt to copy, screenshot, or scroll too fast — the document destructs immediately. No second access. No forwarding. No back button.

Canary

Identify Every Leak

Every copy bears an invisible watermark tied to the recipient. If a confidential document surfaces where it shouldn’t, you’ll know precisely which delivery was the source.

Audit

Timestamped Delivery Logs

At launch, your dashboard will record when the link was opened, time spent reading, and session end. A clean, auditable trail for every sensitive delivery — without retaining a single byte of document content.

Architecture

Zero Retention. Zero Surface.

Your document is deleted from our servers the moment you download the protected file. The protected link is gone after one open. Nothing held. No discovery risk. No breach surface. That is the architecture.

The Protected Session

This Is What
They See.

A clean, controlled reading interface. Their name embedded invisibly across every line. A countdown they can see but cannot pause. The moment they leave the tab, attempt to copy, screenshot, or scroll too fast — the document destructs. No warning. No recovery. No trace.

Zero Retention Architecture

We Hold
Nothing.

Your document never reaches our servers — all protection happens in your browser. We hold the protected link until opened, then delete it permanently. Zero content retention. Not policy. Architecture.

I
You Upload

Your file is read locally in your browser — it never leaves your device or reaches our servers. PageGuard uses it to build the protected file, then discards it immediately. No upload. No server contact.

II
We Generate

All protection is built in your browser. Your original never leaves your device. We hold only the protected link, briefly, until it is delivered.

III
You Download One Shot

You receive one download of the protected file. On delivery, it is immediately deleted. A second attempt returns a permanent 410 Gone response. The link cannot be reused.

IV
Nothing Remains

PageGuard retains only your account details and delivery logs — timestamps and file sizes, never content. Your documents cannot be subpoenaed from us because we do not have them.

Common Questions

Answered
Directly.

PageGuard does not create or extend legal privilege — that is determined by applicable law. What it does is enforce the practical controls your privilege depends on: preventing unauthorised copying, forwarding, and retention. By ensuring your document cannot be reproduced or retained beyond your instruction, PageGuard materially reduces the risk of inadvertent waiver through distribution.
Yes — they can forward the URL. But it only works once. The moment the intended recipient opens it, the link is consumed and permanently deleted from our servers. Anyone who receives a forwarded copy sees a 410 Gone response. The canary watermark also identifies which delivery was forwarded.
We cannot produce what we do not have. PageGuard retains no document content at any point after your protected file has been delivered. Our servers hold only account records, timestamps, and file sizes — never the substance of any document. A subpoena to PageGuard would return delivery logs only. The document itself is gone.
The protected session destructs immediately on any of the following: switching or closing the browser tab, attempting to copy or select text, triggering a print dialog, taking a screenshot (where detectable by the browser), scrolling at a speed inconsistent with reading, or the countdown timer reaching zero. Destruction is immediate — there is no warning or grace period.
Expiry is a policy. Destruction is architecture. An expired link can be reactivated by a server error, a cached response, or a misconfigured proxy. More importantly, expiry does nothing about what already happened: the browser cache still holds rendered pages, a print-to-PDF is already saved, a screenshot already exists on the recipient’s device. Destruction is the only mechanism that makes continued access technically impossible from the moment it triggers — not just unauthorised, but impossible. That is not a feature toggle. It is the point.
Yes — available at launch. Your account dashboard will record the delivery timestamp, when the link was opened, the duration of the session, and when the session ended or destructed. It records access events, not content — and will be exportable for compliance, disciplinary, or evidentiary purposes. Join the waitlist to be notified when the full audit trail launches.
PageGuard accepts PDF files and plain text. For PDF files, the text is extracted and rendered inside the protected session. Formatting is preserved where possible. Complex multi-column layouts and graphically heavy PDFs may render in simplified form. We recommend testing with your document type before a critical delivery.
Yes. Until the link is opened, the protected file can be deleted on request. Email confidential@pageguard.io with the link ID and it will be removed immediately — the link returns a permanent 410 Gone. A self-service revocation dashboard is coming at launch. If the link has already been opened, the one-shot mechanism prevents any further access, but the initial session has run.
